THE REAL ISSUE: BUSH IS INCOMPETENT
THE REAL ISSUE: BUSH IS INCOMPETENT

By Richard Reeves 8/27/04

The core issue is this: Our president is incompetent. He is not a good president. Let me count the ways:

(1) He has divided the country; we are all part of a vicious little hissing match. We were united and humbled on Sept. 12, 2001. We are divided and humiliated now, telling lies about each other.

(2) He has divided the world. "We are all Americans now," headlined Le Monde on that Sept. 12. Now there are days when it seems as if they are all anti-Americans.

<snip>

(6) He is diminishing scientific progress, the great engine of the 20th century. Only the truly ignorant can believe that the proper role of government is to hinder medical research and environmental study in the name of God.

<snip>

(8) He has surrounded himself with other incompetents. The secretary of state is presiding over the rape of diplomacy and its alliances. The secretary of defense has sent our young men and women into situations they were never meant or trained to handle, and now they are being ordered into battle by an appointed minister in a faraway land. The national security adviser does not seem to know that her job description includes coordinating defense and diplomacy. And then there was our $340,000-a-month local hire, Ahmed Chalabi, sitting in the gallery of our House.

<snip>

The list is longer, miscalculation after miscalculation. President Bush has not been able to function effectively at this pay grade.

5. Any CEO this incompetent
would have had his ass fired years ago in the corporate world. (Oh, that's right -- Bush has failed at that too.) I guess running the leading world power requires far lower standards.

6. Bush's "incompetence" is a cover.
Cheney and the PNACers can do everything and anything they want, no matter how devious and damaging, and not get caught, because the top dog is seen a "bumbler," an obviously not-very-bright ex-alcoholic fratboy. It's a convenient cover: How could Bush be planning such horrible things behind closed doors and be such a sinister man with evil intentions if he's such an idiot?

It's image management. The public would never believe PNAC or Halliburton's agenda, because they're too gullible when Jay Leno points out Bush's spelling errors. He can't be BOTH a dumbass and a scheming Iago, could he.....?

7. COMPETENT at racism, so millions of votes
Edited on Fri Aug-27-04 10:57 AM by oscar111
the enduring hidden strength of the repubs :

Racism

Millions vote for him, because he delivers racism.

Till we defuse racism with 100% jobs for all, no fighting ethnics for scarce jobs,

we will lose.. or win by just a hair, after turing into DINOS.

http://www.njfac.org Jobs for All coalition ...has advisors.. JK Galbraith, Clinton's SOLabor, R Reich, 2 nobelists , archbishop of milwaukee, etcetc.

I mean ZERO unemployment, none of this nonsense "4% is full". That is so obviously rubbish. It could be used as a test of which students require the special school for the unteachable.

We must also nationalize housing, so whites dont fear loss of house value if ethnics move next door.
