SW Ohio Bush/Cheney chairman quits in sex scandal
Mike Allen, Hamilton County (Cincinnati area) prosecutor and Chairman of the Southwest Ohio Bush-Cheney Campaign has quit the campaign after a federal lawsuit was filed against him. The suit alleges that Allen coerced sex over a long period of time from a subordinate lawyer in the prosecutor's office and that the sex occurred in the office on County time. Allen, who is married and the father of two, of course, denies the allegations and says the sex was consensual. He didn't say anything about doing it on county time or the fact that the county's sexual harassment policy prohibits any sexual conduct at work. Another example of good Republican Family Values.

1. Finally!!
Maybe now we can force him to resign as prosecutor. I really hate this guy. If only the local Democratic Party had enough guts to put someone up for prosecutor. The local party sucks.

3. If it isn't too late - may be past the filing deadline.
That's the only way a Dem can ever win in this county, if the Repug stinks too much for thier own kind.

4. Don't know about Summit County but I think Allen was the -
one who wasn't even invited to the last local Bush fund-raising appearance. Although he was the local B/C campaign chairman, the Repugs didn't invite him because they knew he couldn't afford to pay the $25,000 per person that they required for that event. How's that for being a party for working folks? Ironically, Kerry had a similar fundraiser here the same week and it was 1,000. I personally received an invitation to go to that one even though I am nothing more politically than a small contributor.
