9. He said that beautifully! Carter's '76 campaign was the first one I worked on...
...I borrowed a car and drove to Plains to see where he was from, and still have the handpainted campaign button his aunt gave me. Hope to visit The Carter Center soon. He is such a hero to me!

His work since he left the presidency is the most significant by any former president, although a case can be made for John Quincy Adams and William Howard Taft.
