The media does get me down. That's why I joined DU. I'm trying to avoid television news, expecially cable news, since they are the worst, but sometimes I give in and turn it on. Except for Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddow, the cable news stations aren't really news stations at all. Just right-wing propaganda and trivia. I will heed your wise advice.
