"the biggest purge of voters in history" (2008 election)
This was posted some time back. I thought I would post it again so we all know exactly what we are up against. Some of the "swing states" are being targeted by the mafia in the WH.

In swing-state Colorado, the Republican Secretary of State conducted the biggest purge of voters in history, dumping a fifth of all registrations. Guess their color.

In swing-state Florida, the state is refusing to accept about 85,000 new registrations from voter drives – overwhelming Black voters.

In swing state New Mexico, HALF of the Democrats of Mora, a dirt poor and overwhelmingly Hispanic county, found their registrations disappeared this year, courtesy of a Republican voting contractor.

In swing states Ohio and Nevada, new federal law is knocking out tens of thousands of voters who lost their homes to foreclosure.

5. Like this ?

It was suppose to happen, but the Bush mafia killed the idea....

House Republicans view a recent move by 11 Democrats to have United Nations observers monitor U.S. elections as a politically motivated stunt, and last week they moved to nip the idea in the bud. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A60143-2004Jul18.html

I'm not sure what they're doing yet.

10. I received an email several weeks ago asking for attorneys and legal aides...
...to sign on, but deleted it since no one at my house fits the bill.

I am going to contact The Carter Center about this.

addressed and rectified this?

11. OMFG, we need Obama's election lawyers STAT. If we don't have a legal squad, make one. Because
it looks like the GOP is up to its old tactics-- election fraud.

17. This cannot happen again
Obama needs to make this part of his stump speech -
Everyone needs to double check their registrations, but especially minorities. We need to identify the states that have dumped legitimate registrations BEFORE the election.

19. So what do we do??? I have asked this question repeatedly
including to representatives of the DNC... what do we do? What can we do?

The DNC is not focused on this issue. We need to grass roots it some more.

20. Well, ONE thing anyone could do
is send some money to Greg Palast. He's asking for it, to fund his & RFK Jr.'s anti-vote theft watch. Here's the URL for this article:

http://www.gregpalast.com/obama-doesn%e2%80%99t-sweat-he-should/#more-2056

Because the only way to get the vote-chewing cockroaches out of the voting machinery is to turn on the lights – tell the truth on them. On prime time.

After our team busted the story of Katherine Harris’ attack on innocent Black voters as “felons,” the NAACP sued and won back their rights. The truth CAN make the difference. Yes, we can. Indeed, we HAVE.

Think all votes should be counted in America? Then YOU stand up and be counted. Don’t expect networks or commercial sponsors to pay for your democracy. Feed the truth, donate $100 right now and pass on a copy of the Elections Files to your dippy cousin who thinks Kerry lost fair and square.

Donations from our prior and only request already paid for some of our filming in the Southwest. Don’t let this story be swept under the border.

If you want more information, go to GregPalast.com, or write me directly at GregPalast.com – and hit the button, “contact Greg.”

The other thing to do, if that doesn't seem practical to you, is to send the link to other people...

23. You 'watch' so you can go to court
If enough people get behind them (and send money) it's more than just complaining to one other. How many elections in a row can they steal?

24. They're up to 4, with no end in sight
This year will make it 5. We have two choices:

1. Convince the UN to step in
2. Take to the streets and show these sniveling tyrants what real resistance looks like

25. ...the UN?
That would go over really well with all the gun-toting 'black helicopter' Ron Paul folks. ...but *some* of those people understand very well just how hypocritical and useless the Bush Evil Empire is. They're anti-war, against imperial pretension, and the kind of corporate fascism that's cost us so many jobs and businesses.

BTY, how long have you been working for your agency, as an agent provocateur?

28. I know what an Agent Provocateur is. Some of my 14,000 posts
over seven years would probably have given me away by now if I were one. The number of people who are angry is large. The number who are angry enough to get off their easy chairs or skip American Idol is not so great. The number of members of Big Media who prefer democracy to fascism is miniscule.

It would be great if we could rescue ourselves from this predicament. Observing the electorate and fascist powers that rule the country over the past 25 years or so causes me to doubt it can happen. It wouldn't require a shot to be fired. If every one of the 80% of the country who thinks we're headed in the wrong direction stopped going to work for a month, a change would ensue. But the fascists in the government and Big Media have enough people tired, hungry, and scared to the point where they won't even write letters to their Congressman, let alone wage a general strike.

Maybe you can tell me why after 25 years of sliding into fascism the US electorate is going to suddenly take the country back.

29. The only answer is a landslide... we can't win if they are close in the polls
because it's a set up, in my opinion, for vote fraud, so the work we have to do is registering voters and canvassing.

However I do agree if they obviously steal it we cannot simply rely on our representatives, we'll have to take to the streets.

31. OK, relieved...
I don't know if anything will happen "suddenly," but maybe it'll seem that way -- like all those stories of "overnight success" (preceded by decades of hard work), if there is a mass moment-of-clarity, when the balance tips, and Americans wake up to just how badly they've been manipulated, and lied to.

22. Colorado is at least pulling a get out the vote beyond anything I have ever witnessed.
In my whole entire life I have never seen so many people registering people to vote at practically every store you go to. There are thousands of these people, I don't know if they're from the state or some other organization (already registered and never asked). But they're out there. In droves. And Colorado allows previous felons to vote if they're off probation. (Unlike *some* undemocratic states.)

to insist that all provisional ballots be counted by hand and monitor the counting.

33. To the GOP contractors and officials who did this, remember : "the ballot or the bullet"
Your choice, and you'll bring it on yourselves if there is another repeat of FL '00 or Ohio '04.
