Why aren't Democratic vets calling * the lying coward he is?
Every damn veteran with a chip on his shoulder about Kerry gets his 15 minutes. Why aren't the similar number of veterans who are outraged about fortunate son's abandonment of his cushy job in the ANG getting out there also?

This sucks.

2. Because he didn't dishonor them
when he came back from Vietnam. As a matter of fact, he never came back from Vietnam but that is not what is important to them. All they remember is how PO'd folks like Nixon and O'Neill told them to be, about what Kerry was 'doing' to them.

3. Obviously, Democratic vets are unpatriotic.
Just see Kerry or Cleeland for details.

4. Some of us are

Sadly, we lack the funding of the Swift Boat Liars so we work online, in local campaign efforts, and spread the word to any that will listen.

10. Attend you local Am Legion, print flyers and pass them out, you can
do more than type on the message boards, although we are happy to have you here among us. Write up your own testimony and send it to all the media outlets you can.

7. I am a Democrat. I am a veteran.
Bush is a liar and a coaward.

Moreover, he is not President and never will be. Legitimacy is like virginity. Once you lose it, it's gone, period. Bush's tenure in the White House never had legitimacy.

8. Good Question! That was the whole purpose of running a war hero
wasn't it, so we could compare the two. Kerry should be demanding Bush account for his whereabouts during the period of the gap in his service record and calling him a deserter until he can prove otherwise.

14. I am
Every chance I get. I may not have been in a war, but I was active duty, and guarded the fence between east and west, which is more that Chimpy (the coward ) has ever done.

15. Some of them ARE (see link in message)
Actually some Democratic vets (or in this case a republican vet who has switched sides) are coming down on * for lying.

Check out this site:
www.phonyfighterpilot.com

The fellow who wrote this book is in my area, and is squawking long and loud about *'s lies regarding his service. For that matter, so am I, to anyone who'll listen. And at LEAST half the other vets I talk to are on board with us on this.

with your reccomendations on events and ideas on ways to get local media hits via veterans.

19. Shoot, I can't even get my local party to register voters.
These institutions are pretty entrenched. I guess that's my answer.

It does feel like we've been here before. Who did invent the Internet anyway?

17. It's seen as a slam on the National Guard.
This is the reason why Kerry repudiated the MoveOn.org ad.

24. as a vet it honestly does not
bother me that Bushie went to the ANG. If I could do it over again, and had the opportunity to do so why not? Nothing wrong with self preservation and saving your own skin. It is not noble, but now that I have seen war, I would go that route if I had the opportunity. I would also save my kids from going with no apologies if I had the connections. If you can get out of going Dont Ever Go To War. It will screw up your mind forever.

Most vets I know hate Kerry for his anti-war stuff because they were still getting shot and or being in prison camps and it demoralized them. I put all this in the past because it is not about Vietnam anymore folks. It is about who will be a good president and Bushies destroy this country. We have to get them out of power. Lots of vets will not help because they will not be able to put Kerry's past in the past. But it is very importatn to concentrate on the future.

We MUST defeat the Bushies.

25. Does the fact that he got preferential treatment to get in bother you?
Does the fact that he skipped his physical bother you?

My opinion is that the ANG was a fine dodge if a man had the connections to get into it, as Bush did. The issue is that he failed to serve honorably, or even serve at all during much of his term, and avoided responsibility to this day.
