John Kerry Should Do a Half-Hour
Edited on Fri Aug-27-04 08:01 AM by louis c
interview with a friendly reporter. Maybe Norville or Mathews.

He should speak the truth of these allegations, and back it up with all the documentation, including the 1996 praise of him by those now smearing him.

He can point to first hand acknowledgments from all his crew, as well a Rood and Droz's letter to his wife.

In the end, he would be acknowledged as a true hero, and a victim of slime politics.

If it's done correctly, he can turn this around.

After all, Clinton did it in 1992, and that was about extra-marital affairs.

Did I miss something?

2. Yes, you did
all the interviews involving the Swift Boat Liars for Bush" with Mathews.

He made Michelle Malkin cry for dissing Kerry. I'd trust him on this issue, but I'd rather Norville.

3. Better he should concentrate on the actual issues
The Smear-Boaters has been officially scuttled (unless they're prepared to call the U.S. Navy a bunch of unpatriotic liars). It's been established that Kerry was telling the truth all along. BUSH is the one who should be investing airtime into explaining HIS miltary record. Kerry has more important things to do. Can we get back to the campaign now, PLEASE?

5. Maybe so
but John Kerry has yet to benefit from the sympathetic outrage that this smear deserves.

4. I'd Pass On That One...
While I respect John Kerry's intellect and command of issues, sitting through 30 minutes for even this political geek is way too much. It reminds me more of Ross Perot and his pie charts than it does Clinton (which, was a segment on 60 minutes...not a full half hour). Personally, I'd rather have him work on the problems then attempt to describe them.

If Kerry & the Democrats can't get across in one minute and 30 second spots how bad the regime is...the average attention span of most TV viewers (and I'm probably generous there), 30 minutes would be counter productive.

Those of us who want to know more of where Kerry stands on issues can or have checked out his website and from tons of articles available on the web. At this late stage, those who don't know Kerry, don't want to...let's save the money and get the message out short and sweet. This regime must go!

6. Even those who won't watch it
will be wowed by the media when he destroys the liars in a Perry Mason like performance.

7. He needs to put his 1971 testimony in context and compare to Iraq war
right now. Many of the same things exist today with this administration.
