NEXT WEEK, people who hate Republicans plan to release swarms of mice in New York City to terrorize delegates to the National Republican Convention.

Republican-haters plan on dressing up as RNC volunteers, and giving false directions to little blue hair ladies from Kansas, sending them into the sectors of New York City that are unfit for human habitation.

They plan on throwing pies and Lord knows what else at Republican visitors to the city. Prostitutes with AIDS plan to seduce Republican visitors, and discourage the use of condoms, according to liberal journalist Ted Rall.

Make no mistake, the Republicans will no doubt be making many wild claims about all sorts of primal horrors they see "first hand" in NYC: hurled feces and urine, AIDS-infected prostitutes, baby-killers, liberal America-haters, etc. Police will suddenly "discover" a backpack or two containing slingshots and marbles, and a local map -- "proof" of a liberal conspiracy.

What could made the right wing feel more justified in forwarding their jackboot agenda than to be able to claim persecution in such a fantastic manner, and in ways that make the torture at Abu Ghraib look like a warm-up?

Remember the bottom line: Republicans will do anything -- **anything** -- to stay in power.

7. I suspect that there are at least two reasons for this

little "urban legend".

First, it is meant to enter the mainstream through the VRWC echo
chamber as a "See how much these people HATE America, they would
stoop so low as to try to infect us with AIDS!".

Second, it's a cautionary tale, meant to discourage the visiting
Rethuglican delegates from visiting prostitutes. "These
prostitutes don't want to just take your money, they want to inflict
a horrible disease on you, and it's at the direction of DEMOCRATS!"

As if there was some secret cabal of democratically controlled HIV+
escorts just waiting around for the call to, uh, arms? (beds?)
Such a association of escorts would be SO useful, as there will
be so many occasions where one would like to infect a collection
of convention goers with AIDS... (/SARCASM/)

Actually, I'm surprised that they aren't claiming that this is an
attack on AMERICA with biological WMDs (Whores of Mass Destruction!)
