..... but dontcha think he's a bit milquetoast for a keynote address? He was upstaged by Schweitzer.

1. Yeah, Not Very Rousing
I didn't think Warner was that inspiring.

I mean, he hit the nail on the head for most of the speech and made the case very well, but it was hardly moving.

Schweitzer was funny and inspiring. Rendell was rousing. I also thought Casey was great. I loved how he mentioned being Pro-Life and using it to point out how Obama listens to different views/finds common ground. Of course, his "sidekick" comment was the best of the night until Hillary's "twins."

2. I see I'm not the only one who thought that
I was watching his speech last night, wondering when he was going to pull out all the stops.

3. He didn't rouse us, the choir, but
I think his appearance will benefit the party by appealing to undecideds and fence sitters and some Republicans who think Dems are a bunch of looneys.

5. True, he's never been a dynamic speaker..
but he's a great leader and a fine politician. I know people who have met him, and he's very personable in person.

FWIW, I think he'll be a good Senator, and I think possibly a good President one day.

6. Wrong message. Wrong messenger.
Of the 48 years of keynote addresses I recall, that was without a doubt one of the most underwhelming.
