DOLE GOES DOWN!! --NEW POLL in NC --Liddy Dole TRAILS Kay Hagan by 3 pts! LINK
When Hagan entered the race to contest Dole's seat many higher profile potential candidates had already bowed out. However, Dole is vulnerable. Now is the time to kick her and her Bush supporting Senate votes to the curb!

http://www.newsobserver.com/722/story/1195717.html

"Public Policy Polling, a Democratic firm in Raleigh, released new numbers Tuesday showing Hagan edging Dole 42-39 among likely voters. That's not far off the margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.3 percentage points. The survey of 904 likely voters was conducted Aug. 20-23."

10. I have been telling people in NC for the past year that Dole was vulnerable...
... and so many just brushed it off claiming her machine and support were unbeatable.

The truth is that she is in real trouble, and tv ads being run against her are taking their toll.

With Obama at the top of the ticket, and NC having a large number of African American voters, Dole is going to have to siphon off an extremely large number of registered Democrats to keep her seat --and quite frankly, North Carolinians are very upset with extended military deployments, the economy, etc.

May Dole fall in November ... and if you have a couple of bucks to donate, Kay Hagan could use it to help us go over the 60 vote Democratic majority we need in the US Senate!

20. We cannot lose sight
that it is just as important to pick up Senate seats and House seats as it is to win the POTUS seat. If, Gawd forbid, Obama doesn't pull it off then having a 58 seat majority in the Senate and a 25 seat lead in the House would be a great muzzle for McCain.

21. Another point... Dole never shows up in NC until she comes up for reelection...
The bloom is definitely off the rose for her ... but there are lots of Repubs and Independents who still support her.

Republicans cannot change the fact that Obama is on the ballot --and many African Americans and young people who would not have voted in the past WILL SHOW UP TO VOTE DEMOCRATIC this time!

27. Did the results match the exit polling in NC in 2004?
Any seat in a state where Diebold holds sway is probably not in danger. OTOH, any Repuke in a state with honest elections is probably doomed.

43. The Dole Campaign realizes they are in big trouble here in NC...
We have too many Republicans who are disenchanted with the state of affairs under Republican rule, and Dole cannot run from her record of supporting the Bush Administration.

IMHO Obama AND Hagan will help each other here in NC.
