Seattle Times endorses Kerry for President
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/editorialsopinion/2002016659_kerryed27.html

"Four years ago, this page endorsed George W. Bush for president. We cannot do so again — because of an ill-conceived war and its aftermath, undisciplined spending, a shrinkage of constitutional rights and an intrusive social agenda.

The Bush presidency is not what we had in mind. Our endorsement of John Kerry is not without reservations, but he is head and shoulders above the incumbent."

1. Washington State is in the Bag for Kerry

This is what happens when the President of the USA ignores your state which had the highest unemployment rate in the lower 48 states.....This is what happens when the President of the USA only uses your state as a campaign pocketbook......This here endorsement pretty much wraps up Washington for Kerry in 2004.

Bush has been only concerned with 7 states since taking office... PA,IN,OH.IL,NY,MI,FL and lets not forget his vacation get away from the problems he's created state of TX.....He has visited those for a total greater than 100 times.

Bush made a fool out himself while in Seattle for a campaign fundraiser 2 weeks ago where he raised 2.4 mil for his pocket.......Remember he asked the Europeans to level the playing field in regards to Airbus subsides.....this was the same President that pissed those same Europeans off by invading Iraq....I really don't think they will listen.....why should they???....Oh....Bush made his comments in front of only 30 screened workers and CORP EXECS...Ill bet all Bush supporters too

I hope the Nevada papers follow suit after what Bush broke his promise in regards to Yacca Mountian..

and it's pretty early that too. Don't newspapers wait until the last several weeks before the election to make endorsements?
Not that I have a problem with this of course.

4. I was curious about that, too
I don't recall ever seeing an endorsement so early. Let's hope it's a trend.

I can't go ---which absolutely stinks. He'll be in Everett and Tacoma. I could have gone to Everett but I made a prior commitment that I can't get out of. If anyone here is going- Please post so I can live through your vicariously.
