Don't expect any bounce from this covention
In my entire life. I've never seen a convention covered so negatively. Where the networks have nothing but Republicans on analyzing Democratic speeches and messages. Everything has a negative slant from talking heads. Pretty much defeating the whole purpose of the convention. I've never seen anything like this. Repukes are getting two full weeks of nothing but Obama/Biden bashing.

And people wonder why the polls are tight. When there is no bounce, They'll claim, the Democrats didn't do something right. In a way I'm not surprised. This is the only chance, the Republicans had even a small chance to win this yr.

We can't beat the media. Which is why it will be hard for a Democrat to ever win the WH again.

3. Let's try not to be so negative ourselves. The MSM can be negative but that means we can't let that
get us down. Otherwise, it's basically saying that all elections are pre-determined to have the Democrat losing and that sure wasn't the case in 2006. I'm sure that as long as we work hard, we will win this year too.

4. It's so nice not having a TV
and only reading the papers intermittently. I've been watching the convention via the direct link that someone posted on Monday, and so I get to see what I want to see totally free of commentary.

5. What convention?
All most Americans will see is a few speeches and a bunch of people sitting around picking them to death.

9. The media have so completely bought into the r/w criticisms of themselves...
... that they bend over backwards to "prove" they're not liberal by spending all their time on criticism of Democrats. It's amazing. It's like they're afraid to talk about McCain, afraid to acknowledge that any of the criticism Democrats make of him might be true.

It's the televised media in this country that are responsible for keeping the level of discussion so insipid. They're just as culpable for our going to war as Bush is, and they know it, which is why they can't Dems succeed.

13. Remember that the biased M$M don't control the internet
...yet.

It's up to places like this to put out the truth and for lurkers and posters here to spread it to friends and family. The RW finally realized too late, that the netroots had actually hijacked their message and this is why they have doubled their efforts using every "traditional" media outlet that they can co-opt to counter this... But unfortunately for them, there are a limited number of tv, radio, and print media shops when compared to what is essentially an infinite free speech zone on the 'net.
