Poll question: What Are Your Expectations For Obama's Speech?
How high are you setting the bar for his speech tomorrow?

1. Other.
In the 1960s, John Lennon and Paul McCartney had a unique ability to translate the energy of the era into songs. Millions of people loved their lyrics, because the Beatles expressed what they were thinking and feeling, in a manner that while few were anywhere near creative enough to come close to, that everyone could relate to.

Barack Obama has that same talent. It isn't a matter of which speech ranks where: great speeches belong in a group where they are all recognized as expressing the thoughts and feelings of the particular time they are delivered.

2. There is no doubt
He will be great at worst, awesome at best.

The intial reaction from 90 percent of the pundits will be half dazed admiration.

The initial reaction from right wing whore propogandists will be some sort of intellectually corrupt and counter intuitive nonsense.

Within a day, 70 percent of the pundits will be spewing the right wing talking points.

Within a week, especially in light of the R convention, the speech itself will be a distant memory, and the retarded A meme of marginalizing the fact that the man is the most stone cold inspiratinal speaker in politics we have seen in generations will be somehow twisted into a negative.

3. He will give a great speech, the BUZZ-DRONE will inform us otherwise.
From what I have seen of the CorpMedia coverage, we will get a series of pre-speech setups followed by a corresponding set of post-speech re-educational head-spinners explaining to us peasants why this was not the droid we were looking for.
