Edited on Thu Aug-26-04 10:55 PM by Doosh
Bush will give his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention next week from a small circular stage in a sea of thousands of delegates and other guests.

15. I heard the RNC was going to adapt this stage ...
... they're negotiating to bring it out of mothballs.

The stage has four ramps: two in front (marked (a) and two in the sides (marked (b)! The two front ramps have lights built into them, that chase in patterns.

5. A change of image
From how they run his events of recent weeks where people have to sign the loyalty oaths etc. Maybe some theatre along with tweaking his image.

9. Will it rise up...
...lifting him into the air as he speaks?

If I were an evildoer, I might hope for a mechanical malfunction. Perhaps the circular stage will rotate, matching the "spin" his bullshit puts on his own failures, and he'll go flying off into the audience like Jerry off a phonograph.

10. I heard he was going to rise up from under the stage in a
bullet-proof bubble. Kind of a Christ-like ascension.

12. This may or may not work out for Bush
It's different. Many people are NOT used to seeing performances "in the round". It's going to catch people off guard and they're going to say WTF?

But on the other hand, much of the press may "love" it, calling it "progressive, new, dynamic, open", just like the pResident!

The press has to play along for it to benefit bush. If they ignore it or pan it, bush takes a hit.
