Did anyone else hear Jim Phillips (Phillips Phile) on air snit today?

Thought I would mention this in case it comes up in conversation tomorrow...

Local Orlando left leaning talk radio host Jim Phillips (also carried on XM) came on today at 3pm, and announced that Elizabeth Edwards would be calling in at 5pm. Apparently she was in town and the producer lined up the call.

All throughout the first two hours of the show, he kept alluding to the upcoming call at 5pm and what he wanted to ask her, etc.
He made it clear that she was in friendly territory.

Well, 5 o'clock came and went. 5:10. 5:20 no call. And he was getting uptight.

Finally at 5:25 he said he wouldn't put her on when she eventually called.

And then went on to spout about how the Dems suck at media relations, and didn't they know that he owns the afternoon airwaves here? What's the matter with them?"

It was an ugly, juvenile scene. He came away from it looking so small and unprofessional.

It is hardly unusual for someone on the campaign stump to get behind. For the life of me, I don't know why he got himself so fixed to the 5:00 EXACT time.

3. Moira was out on location at a Wendy's restaurant for a charity event

As were a couple of his other sidekicks...It was like just him, Oddo and an intern. That's why he has struggling so badly.

It'll be interesting to see what he has to say about it today, given the time to think it through.

2. The Democrats DO Suck ...

... at media relations. The one thing you never, ever do is screw around with someone's deadlines. That's the campaign's fault, not the radio announcer's fault. How stupid could the K-E people be?
