2. Yeah, he is good
Edited on Tue Aug-26-08 08:49 PM by democrattotheend
Not as good as the keynoter we had four years ago, but come on, who could possibly top that? I'm worried even Obama himself can't possibly top his speech four years ago, and the expectations are sky high. How can he ever live up to them?

3. Sounds good to me, but I HATE that so many people are talking during his speech.
It's very distracting to me. I think I am unusually sensitive to noise, as I have a hard time hearing and focusing when there is too much background noise, particularly mumbling and others talking.

And BTW, that seems so RUDE anyway. Why do people do that?

14. Yeah it's very distracting and annoying
I don't remember so much chit chat in previous conventions. I know there is always a certain amount but this time during EVERY speaker it's a continuous hum of it. It could be maybe the microphones are more sensitive and picking up more than they used to but it sure is IRRITATING to me! :argh:

4. I like that at least he is lashing out at Bush and McClown
but he isn't the most electric speaker.

5. Very good speech
Nothing controversial. I don't know what the worry earlier was about.

6. To me he's boring. Very "canned." The crowd is on fire and he is throwing
them bologna sandwiches. He's doing ok but someone better would electify the crowd.

8. Agreed that it's not the typical keynote
But at least the speech is good and he's hitting in all areas.

7. "My biggest grievance with President Bush"
"This president never tapped into our greatest resource. The character and resolve of the American people"

WTF?

Lying to the nation to start a war? Making us a nation of torturers? Committing treason by outing agents for political gain? Stacking the supreme court with 19th century nuts? Stealing the nation's wealth for his buddies? Blowing the surplus into a deficit for tax cuts for the rich, that we'll all have to pay for down the road? Letting 9/11 happen, and calling a traitor anyone who didn't let him seize dictator powers like Hitler and Stalin? Stacking all the most important government offices with political hacks, leading to abject failures and trashing of the constitution?

Just some ideas.

11. Is he the 2008 Obama?
Not watching but it seems like he is really nailing his speech. Will he be the one remembered in 2008 like Obama was in 2004?

12. Warner was a very successful and popular Gov of VA
He will win the Senate easily. I suspect his popularity will also help Obama win VA.
