Ed Rendell was ogling women and working out at the Sporting Club at the Bellevue, and someone came up with the idea that gambling casinos would work in Philly. So they showed up at the exercycle wing and convinced the out-of-work Eddie to run for Mayor, unopposed from a power broker standpoint, and then for Governor. His wife was made a federal-judge-for-life (she's very bright and interesting) And here we are today.

He's a glad-hander, does a great job one on one as I have seen personally, and unfortunately for him, hit his glass ceiling. When people mention him for VP, I just burst out laughing...if they only knew. Vetting, anyone?

Makes Edwards look like an altar boy.
