Lord only knows what he might be wearing in other photos. (My personal theory is that he kept an assortment in the grungy ashtray of his filty car and had no idea what was legit and what wasn't.)

this might sound weird, but I am working on two things right now:

1. What would the repurcussions have been for bush being caught wearing that ribbon he didn't earn? I am trying to find AR 672-5-1 online and having a hard time. That's the Army's regulations for the wearing of such things....what would be the equivalent in the AF?

The repurcussions would answer the question of so what? From what I understand anecdotally this is a very big deal, more so than most civilians might think.

2. Why did he do this? Where did he get it? Harder to do, but....did POPPY ever get the AFOUSA?
