Is it Obama with his community organizer skills?

Or is it Dean and the 50 state strategy.

I know it doesn't matter that much as long as it works. But I find the organization of the campaign interesting. When I went to the local Dem Party meeting, more than one long time Dem said that it was very different from anything they'd seen before.

So I'm wondering who's idea it is to run the campaign the way it's being run.

I'll say one thing from personal observation: they sure do have a lot of conference calls. It seems like each region in our area checks in with each other everyday, near as I can tell. There is no lack of communication, I must say.

Thoughts?

1. Maybe I should have said something divisive and negative
God forbid we should have a positive discussion about the campaign.

2. I've heard about that from the grass roots level....
Our leaders at state level were shaken up, and rightly they should be. I think that is Dean. But what I have noticed about the Obama campaign is the movement behind him. It could be some one other than Obama and there would still be change. He has a starfish organization.

From what I have observed as an outsider, Obama surrounds himself with good people and then lets them do their job. He really has a flair for that. He seems to have a low key way of letting you know when he is not happy-but he does it in such a way that you feel bad that you've let him down. He seems to inspire you to want to do better. I think the comparisons to JFK are spot on, (although RFK's vision was more compelling for me personally). They seem to have many of the same leadership qualities except I think Obama has an even more level head on his shoulders. He seems to be that rare person that has achieved a balance.

I truly do wish the best for him. I grew up in the 60's and I have seen wonderful leaders and visionaries assassinated. It is hard to nurture hope in those trying times and it has left me bitterly cynical. I hope Obama can turn a new page for this country. Dare I hope.....
