Here is the dirty truth: Dem Convention OWNED by big-ticket CO Republicans
Pepsi Center: owned by big GOP contributor, and guarded like every person there (except big ticket Republicans) is a terrorist.

Entertainment, staff, food, extras, all supplied by big time GOP contributors.

Pool feed by FOXNEWS, and no complaints allowed. We can't do anything about it now, they're all wired u<[br />
Sixteen layers of obstructive security at every door, lots of guys in black standing around with their AKs and helmets with nothing to do except hassle the easy looking ones. Corporate advertising EVERYWHERE. Good thing a Pepsi can is red white and blue!

This is not a celebration so much as a minimum security prison, if I had to use an analogy.

And of course, our Dem Leaders just let this happen, and didn't bother to come up with the cash to do it on our own. That would have stepped on too many toes, I suppose. How far we have fallen since the conventions were run by the delegates instead of the "Party Leaders."

I was so looking forward to working here at the convention and getting a chance to see my idols in the radio row and bloggers lounge. But I am stuck with a "Perimeter Pass," which allows me to look at the Pepsi Center from the outside, a lovely view of swat teams in golf carts obscuring the "HOPE" sculpture.

The only good thing here is that Qwest is supplying the phones. But AT&T got in there too, somehow, and their logo is ubiqitous.

I guess I should have known it would be like this. What I don't understand is WHY. Except to give a whole bunch of assholes who already have too much money a LOT more--(triple security can't be cheap! Are we paying for that with our contributions?)And to exclude WE THE PEOPLE in favor of a privileged few.

Welcome to YOUR CONVENTION, Democrats--and thank the Republicans for making--letting-- it happen.

3. no complaints allowed about pool coverage?
You don't know how pool coverage works or what it is, do you?

4. sure, we can complain--so what? they have no obliation to supply an alternative.
and a gentle "I'm certain you are without facts on a number of issues yourself" in reply to your helpful, but disparaging remark (that I totally enjoyed and appreciated) for it's no doubt humorous omniscient view of what I know and don't know. Perhaps you could use your telepathic link to bolster my knowledge on trigonometry, too, while you are in there rattling around in my brain and exploring it's inadequate contents.
