Everything the Smear-Boaters said was a lie. Everything Kerry had said was true. It appears that the Bush campaign was in on it. And to top it off, the Kerry camp ran a commercial of McCain dissing Bush for sliming him--a commercial which showed everyone that Bush will sink lower than a snake's belly, and that McCain is as stable as a lava lamp.

McCain has already asked Kerry to stop running the commercial, because it's turning him into a liability for Bush. More important, Kerry is now in a position to suggest a) that the Bush camp's collusion with the Smear-Boaters is the reason why he won't condemn their ads, and b) that it is now Bush's turn to have his military past scrutinized.

Anything that Bush camp does from now on will be suspected. Kerry's in control now.
