How John Kerry can win Bob Nardelli's heart
Okay, Kerry campaign, listen up:

Bob Nardelli is the CEO of Homer TLC. You know it as The Home Depot, but there are a lot of subsidiaries to our company--The Home Depot, Expo Design Center, Home Depot Landscape Supply, Georgia Lighting, Your "Other" Warehouse and a few I've forgotten.

Bob Nardelli's number-one priority, the thing he covets more than tax cuts, relaxation of environmental regulations and the potential death of Lowe's, is the abolition of import duties on ceiling fans and lighting products. With this we could drop the price of our Hampton Bay ceiling fan line and our various lines of Chinese-made lighting enough to really put the squeeze on Wal-Mart. Bush won't give it to him.

Give Nardelli what he needs and we will go back to being a Democratic company.

4. Yeah, actually I am
Look at a report of any meeting between Bushler and Nardelli. The only thing Nardelli ever asks for is the ceiling fan and lighting thing.

He sure doesn't care about relaxation of OSHA regulations--our safety standards are far higher than OSHA's.

He doesn't care about the overtime law, since our overtime regulations are way, way above what the government required before the Bush overtime restructuring.

And we don't want the ceiling fan duties rescinded to pinch the American ceiling fan industry--so far as I know the only American manufacturer is Hunter, and we're their biggest retailer. We are going after Wal-Mart, which we can do because we own the manufacturer of our fans.

5. I'm Confused
If Wal-Mart imports fans and Home Depot imports fans, how will removing the import duties help Home Depot gain a competitive advantage?

6. Nardelli should focus on improving his astoundingly shitty stores so I
don't have to drive ten miles to Lowes even though there's a Home Depot almost accross the street.

Instead of killing some American manufacturing for ol' Bob we should make him try to get someone to help him in the Plumbing department.
