McCain's desire for revenge has been whispered about locally for decades and a few m$m stories have discussed it recently. Phoenix New Times' Amy Silverman has written quite a bit about it, too. If it weren't real, the powerful local old boy republican network of local news, business, an politics could have silenced the whispers, much like they did Cindy's drug theft--but not entirely. John McCain hasn't charmed everyone in the press, just the more vapid ones.

But, like Cindy's drug theft, the Keating 5, Spur Cross Ranch, the Abramoff ties, ad infinitum, this story has legs.

Hope and change with the experience to get it done vs. the past, revenge, and the continued policies of the worst presidential failure in US history.

That's this campaign in a nutshell.
