Joe Scarborough is having a childish meltdown directed toward David Shuster, he is losing it
Shuster called the GOP his party and Joe got extremely defensive, mocking him, telling him sleep through his show. This is embarrassing, very embarrassing.

Man...they were all uncomfortable. Fucking Scar wouldn't shut up. He told David Gregory that someone had some BAD acid. (meaning Shuster) Jerkdom just reached a new high.
Mika and crew looked concerned and embarrassed. It was definitely not in the script.
Scar is a mean-spirited, beady-eyed bastard.

80. She did speak her mind her first day the show.....
Joe Scar got visibly angry at her speaking truth about Bush and immediately took a break.

After the break and since then she just follows and agree with whatever The Scar says.

She even agrees with a guest and then when The Scar disagrees she just follows with her uh-huh, yep, you're so right Joe.

I think I know now what battered wife syndrome looks like.

81. No Joe, no show. ---- that would be ideal. He needs to be gone.
I have to say there was a time in the beginning when she was sassy and the back and forth was fun to watch. It was supposed to be that way - that was the format. She was confident and smart.

However, those 'good ol' days' are over. Joe hasn't been able to adjust to the changing fortunes of the Republican party. As the party has failed and bush/cheney has been exposed, Joe's persona and self-image has cracked. He's become more aggressive, defensive, petty and downright mean. His insecurity was not an issue when his party riding high and his own imagined greatness was not questioned. Now he's just an insecure bully and Mika is the easiest target (but not the only target). It's unpleasant to watch. I wish they would do something to change the dynamics on the show, like physically move her away from him. That might make a difference. Her body language when she's just inches away from him - and he's being nasty - says it all. Damn uncomfortable watching it.

and now that he lost whatever kind of argument he attempted to start with Shuster, he's whining that he wasn't trying to argue.

I don't know what's going on, but Joe mentioned earlier that he was on primetime last night for a few minutes until he "made someone mad" but then quickly changed the subject. There must be a long backstory here that we don't know about. Joe is clearly on the defensive.

but fortunately I still had MSNBC on for this. Watched Joe just a few minutes this morning --can't stand the sob-- to see what he'd say and sure enough he came off all innocent saying 'someone got mad' and completely mischaracterized what he'd said. Poor poor Joe. A few minutes was all I could take, and after Mika said, she couldn't imagine why anyone would be upset about it, I just said... ok, enough of Morning Puke.

46. I saw the first few minutes of it.
Basically, the thing started off with a piece about the Iraqi P.M. wanting USA troops out by 2011.

Joe's brain then short-circuited and he said something on the lines of "O.K., (Maliki) when we pull our troops out let's see how long it takes before you get a bullet in the head".

At that point, Shuster chimed in asking Joe when he would call McCain's staff out on their commments about "leaving too early" when it's obvious that Iraq wants us out by a particular date.

From there it pretty much degenerated into a Joe's "I'm an Independent" and Shuster's "No, I'm an Independent. You're a Republican hack" cat fight.

At that point I had to leave for work but it doesn't sound like Joe and Dan kissed and made up afterwards.

62. Mean-spirited, sociopathic, arrogant, self-indulged, delusional fuck Joe Scarborough.
He slimes MSNBC itself and anyone who disagrees with his moronic, superficial, knee-jerk crap.

86. That wouldn't load for me, but I found another one. Scarb is an asshole,
and Mika looked like a battered woman who knew what was coming.

He's such a fucking jerk, and extremely unprofessional.

87. Jeez, what an out-of-control windbag!
It appears that Scarbourgh needs a long, long rest someplace quiet.

63. Shuster kept it together and it made Scarborough look foolish
I don't know why Shuster didn't just say that if troops were to start being withdrawn today (like JS wants) that it would possibly be 2011 before they were all gone (like Iraq wants). There is no logical way to have our soldiers drop everything and just go home all at once. It will take months if not years to do it in a safe and organized manner (which I assume is what the Iraq government desires). Scarborough didn't like being called to question on his show - and to see how he then asked the others to take sides against Shuster was just childish and bullyish. Shuster at least didn't feel the need to be backed up - he was willing to stand alone with his comment.

64. Shuster came off as
a very goofy, embedded journalist in the movie Control Room, buying all of the Iraq war propaganda. I think that his attitude is different now, and he realizes how foolish he seemed. Has Joe even been to Iraq?

76. i think he came off as the new hybrid of the pundit/journalist
who found the stones to step up to one of the defenders of the administrations policy of endless military commitment. it was joe who was the whining dismissive conservative who belittled the request of the prime minister. not only advocating the troop withdrawal, but dually supporting staying by saying that our presence is the only reason the prime minister is still alive, otherwise he would end up like mussolini in the town square. what shuster recognized is he the hypocrisy of supporting withdrawal now after the prime minister has demanded it after 5+ years of the republicans (including joe) calling anyone who suggested such a thing a coward and unpatriotic. the golden moment is when when shuster challenged joe to call on mccain to stop ridiculing people for wanting iraq withdrawal. he couldn't even say the words. childishly brilliant.

78. plus, Shuster is very close with Chris Matthews as well.
And even though Chris Matthews tries to give different sides a hard time (and often says random things that are completely off and wrong), he always seems like he knows that he was played for a fool by the Bush administration, since Chris was one of their biggest cheerleaders and now shows a lot more disdain and dissent. I don't like Shuster all of the time, but I think that he does try to give both sides a hard time, so I'm glad that he called Joe out on it.

68. Scarborough needs to be fired for that
He was belittling a colleague and his own network that pays him. That was the most disgusting I have ever seen Joe S. get and he is a POS. I couldn't even watch all of that. It made me want to puke. Schuster needs to raise holy Hell to the MSNBC bosses.
