 The Obamas are good people, and Michelle is an intelligent, supportive and patriotic woman. It's one thing to disagree with their politics, but it's another thing to drag these good people through the mud the way these hateful windbags do on the radio. I would love to see George Soros purchase Clear Channel and/or lots of talk stations. The Hannitys and Limbaughs would be begging for the fairness doctrine! Michelle Obama has more class and more character in her finger than any of these right wing smear merchants have in their entire pathetic bodies.

1. It's funny you say that about her finger as I was admiring how graceful her hands are during her
speech!

18. Constant low level agitation, but Michele
I have had my absolute fill of them attacking Michele Obama.

I am done with it.

The woman IS the american dream, and the embodiment of all their years of yammering about how african americans need to just get over and pull themselves up by their bootstraps - then there is the absolute prototype, and they want to tear her down with specious CRAPE.

And, I am sorry. I have no particular ill will toward Cindy McCain, but in cross comparison to her counterpart, Michele Obama looks even better. As bad as it is with the right wing MAKING SHIITE UP to attack Michele, if she had lived Cindy's life, they would have evicerated her by now.

I am DONE with it, and frankly, I have a hard time being proud of a COUNTRY that hasn't pushed back on what they do to this woman. McCain deserves to lose and lose HUGE just for having his supporters attack Michele Obama, and the America I know and love would punsish him dearly for it.

my world is too good for their shit stirring ways. Sure, when I was younger I would tune in every so often out of curiousity..but when you go to that dead carcass a few times and every single time it is stinking and festering...you just stop checking.

Anyone who listens to that tripe day in and day out isn't going to make a wise and informed choice. Let the pigs wallow in their slop.

12. I'm in one of those communities.
If you want to listen to the radio here, your choices are: Country Western Music, Christian Hate Radio, Secular Hate Radio, NPR semi-news in the early morning and evening (otherwise it's classical music), and some oldies music.

Even satellite radio is useless because in the mountains here, it is blocked along with most cell phones. I usually listen to radio on line. This is how Republicons are able to keep a handful of voters in rural areas by saturating the air waves with their hate speech.

Ignorance is the Republicons best friend.

14. Understood
Now imagine:

You're driving (or living) in a strange country.

You tune in your radio and you have choices among several types of music- some of it new and local to where you are- and honest commentary- with a bit of fuss here and there.

How cool would that be?

something where new artists can't get airplay- and unless you're ugly inside or a fundie (the terms aren't exclusive) silence is the option.

11. Why should we hear about Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity? They're not relevant.
So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?

16. To the folks you're mentioning, anything but a night spent smearing is a waste...

They'll mention how much the Obamas have to relate to the average family, but they spend all their time working on negative things to say about the other side. Any night spent on anything but harsh words for their opponent seems wasted to them, because they find no value in doing anything other than bashing their opponents.

Also, they just have real trouble admitting an opponent had a good night. You know it's a microphone firing squad when Brit Hume (aka "The Mortician") is responding to the panel's "shoulda, coulda, woulda" hit punditry by suggesting they're being unrealistic.

Is it masochism? Curiosity? I avoid that shit like the plague that it is. I recommend watching the convention on C-Span or the Democratic Convention Web Site.
