He promised them they'd have a dog after the campaign ...

I think he should go to a shelter and rescue a nice mixed-breed dog -- set a good example for the nation.

Ideas?

Probably because, as a woman, her experiences and struggles are so similar to my own.

37. She gets it...
She gets our experience of America. And she's able to translate that into words so beautifully.

I first heard her speak at that joint event in LA with Oprah and Maria Shriver. I was teary for hours afterward, her vision of this country moved me so.

She's a special and extraordinarily strong woman (and it's no surprise that the Republicans are so dead set on demonizing her because of it).

18. Shelter dog... but WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING>>
For everyone reading my post, don't get a dog unless you are willing to take care of it.

It is a HUGE responsibility, and one you shouldn't take lightly.

The rewards are great, but the work is too.

One of the few times I advocate for a pure bred dog....
as Cleita said above, due to asthma, they need a hypoallergenic dog. I volunteer at a rescue, and generally advocate for adopting a mutt, but they should pick a dog that will be good for their family.

I was disappointed with some of the animal welfare lists I am on for being very vocal about rescuing a mixed breed, when they could easily have found this info themselves. None of them responded to my replies to their emails.
