John McCain is not going to grow his lead among Clinton supporters. His hope is that the number stays the same as it is today come the first Tuesday in November. If he does that, this race could be extremely close. However, does anyone really believe Obama won't make at least some inroads into that support?

What I'm saying is that Obama is still leading in most polls and has a chance to grow that lead through gaining ground with Clinton supporters. McCain, however, needs to hold the current disparity just to stay in this race, or he will lose in a blowout, since it's doubtful Obama loses support. So ask yourself, what is more likely, Obama bumping that up a few points or McCain holding his number until November?
