1. I'm not sure why either... it might be because of all the Clinton psychodrama... there wasn't room
for him... :(

7. Give. it. a. rest. There's no Clinton speaking tonight, so that wouldn't affect Carter's speaking
time.

Yet another demonstration that it's not just Hillary supporters who think the world revolves around them.

Edit for pronoun clarification "Them" = the Clintons.

13. Nancy Pelosi seemed oblivious to the speaking schedule
She was interviewed on MSNBC after she talked. 4 questions to her, all 4 about Hillary (of course). She mentioned near the end that she needed to end the interview so that she didn't miss Carter's talk.

4. That really sucked
I like Obama's sister but why is she speaking and Carter is not?

I also wondered why they didn't play some presidential music for him instead of "Georgia".

29. But It Would Have Been A Perfect Way To Beat Katrina Over The Heads The Of The Republicans...
The only thing I can surmise, is that they plan to do it later in the convention.

But if they don't... it will have been a major missed opportunity, and a major mistake.

Edited on Mon Aug-25-08 08:12 PM by Breeze54
I seriously doubt it. We all know what happened there and Iraq were wrong, wrong, wrong but the convention isn't about dredging it all up in that tone... I don't think. The convention will try to remain positive; so we can win in November and FIX Katrina and Iraq in January, 2009! ;) To bring all that up gives McDim more ammunition. That is self-defeating.

37. You And I Know The Difference Between The D's And R's, But...
If we're so damned positive in the faces of people who do not know the difference, why the hell would they want to vote for the Democrats?

Hell... by Dems failing to fight the good fight, I'm sometimes not sure why I continue to vote for the Democrats!

Unless it's my TV, but I don't think so. Maybe the eye thing prohibited him.

CNN just said they got a note reminding them that in 2000 Carter did a tribute film and declined to speak and that is probably the case this year.
