Texas uninsured 25.2% (We are kicking butt in Texas, right?) WRONG!!!!!!
Had we represented average and poor Americans in 2000 then we would have taken Texas and won the election. The only strong support we seem to get in Texas is elite whites, who dominate the party hiarchy in Texas. Some Hispanics turn out to vote (we barely get 60% of those that bother voting)and we get the African vote. (frankly Minnesota , West Virginia, and Wisconsin wouldnt be knocking on Bush's door either)

Texas is a majority minority state.25.2% of their citizens are without health insurance.Recent history proves we needed Texas to win.

True Bush has a 0% chance of winning this time and thus we will "win" . Bush simply cant count on 0.1% wins in Missouri , Florida , and Ohio : 3 states he is running even in or behind and all 3 he NEEDS. Jeb is more unpopular this time than last in Florida and Bush frankly didnt get enough votes last time minus the antics. Ohio hads been hit too hard. Some Democratic mayors are supporting Bush including the mayor of the legendary economicaly depressed Youngstown , but most will put their distrust of our ticket aside and vote to rid themselves of Bush.

I guess the moral of my post is that we need to represent the poor and lower middle class. In the rare event that we loose this time (highly unlikly), can we all simply agree to do just that starting in 2008? I admit we cant do anything if Kerry wins , he will do as he pleases for 8 years. Edwards will be coronated in 2012 since we will crown him prince the day after Kerry wins , so we will be powerless for at least 16 years , hoping our leaders decide to fancy a solution to the poverty problem.True a famous man 2000 years ago said the poor will always be among us but I took that to be a call to a solution not a prophecy.Heck its just plain good politics to represent the poor.

I think that if we Democrats reach a concensus that health care for all is a human right and poverty isnt necessary then we will be able to win and do the right thing (yes BOTH are possible , infact I think the 2 are mutualy dependant , the "2 Americas" rhetoric show the ticket at least understands a little about the importance of a fascade at least) in future elections.

End or yet another piss into the wind. Consider it a census wake up call 200,000,001.

1. It is all in the numbers
I am not sure Kerry can take TX but the more people that vote for him the better it will look during President Kerry's first term.
