George Bush Has Made The Middle East Safe For Theocracy....
Edited on Thu Aug-26-04 02:16 PM by DemocratSinceBirth
Two fundamentalist clerics,Sistani and al-Sadr are calling all the shots...

Bringing theocracy to the Middle East is like turning water into, errrrrrr water....

I'm at my wits end...

If a plurality or majority think we're on the right track and want to reelect Bush our two hundred plus year experiment in self government is over...

1. No worries.
They don't.

Latest poll shows only 35% think America's going in the right direction. (So why anyone would want to elect an idiot that is incapable of changing direction when required is beyond me)

In general, are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the way things are going in the United States at this time?

(Total, Def to vote)

Satisfied 35%
Dissatisfied 61%
Don't know 4%

2. I find it very interesting that when we
went into Iraq it was to bring "Democracy" like had been created in the United States 230 years ago. Instead, we end up dealing with the same folks that we refuse to deal with in Iran. Oh sorry, we do deal with them in Saudi Arabia.

Isn't that the definition of a . . . . . .

FLIP - FLOPPER?

3. More than enough irony to go around
George glowed proudly as he talked about democracy in Iraq -- how all groups would be represented in the government, including requiring 25% of government officials to be women -- when in the US they are pushing a one-party state, in which only the economic elite 's interests are represented, and GOP women are talking about what a big mistake feminism was and others condemn quotas.... Funny, their first stab at governing Iraq -- at least what they said in public -- was to establish a LIBERAL state there. Let's see -- bad for America but great for Iraq. Gotta love the irony.

George glowed proudly over having removed a vicious dictator -- only to had eventually decided to install another one -- Allawi.

And of course, there is the whole wacko fundamentalist angle to this whole mess. Wacky Muslims, wacky Jews, and wacky Christians, all who have a religious reason for wanting to bring about The End of Time.
