You know what I find really revolting in McCain's TV ads? That "stately, manly-man" picture
at the end of the commercials where's he's saying he approved the ad. It's supposed to show us how he's all NOBLE and shit, I guess.

All he'd need to add to that pose would be the laurel-branch garland clapped around his dome, and he'd be a dead ringer for the statues of any number of depraved, though ultimately inconsequential Roman Emperors.

3. I hate it, too. And it's not just a pic, is it? I thought it was a moving pic of him lifting his
head with pride. :puke:

5. That may be, at least in some of the ads. I guess he'd be lifting his head and beaming at the sight
of all the more Americans (not to mention Iraqis) dead from his 100-year war.

Excuse me while I go puke; there was another of those ads on just now. Christ, you'd think he'd at least leave us alone while we're trying to watch a baseball game.

6. Yeah, I hate that looking-off-into-the horizon-with-pride thing too.
Also, in one of the earlier commercials, the voice over guy put an emphasis on the "Cain" part of McCain. "John Mc-CAIN" As if to reassure us that McCain is vigorous and full of life.

7. Yeah, most of his attempts to appear above the fold just make him look like a poser.
He calls Obama snobby, elitist and arrogant when that's the exact aura he wants to give off. It's really annoying to see.

9. Depraved and ultimately inconsequential...
We hope to increase both of those qualities for him, and SOON!

10. Ha! I may not be in great shape tonight, but I can still crank out a quotable phrase!
I still got it, I guess...

You definitely still have it!

There's nothing wrong with how you think...
