Edited on Sun Aug-24-08 03:23 PM by Perky
There are no viable female GOP ons for McCain,

Fiorina and Whitman are unknown and would destroy the lack of experience argument

Hutchinson and Dole are too old. Jindahl is too young

Palin is too controversial

Christine Todd Whitman would upset the base too much because he is a Rockefeller Republican and I would think pro-choice

The only name that might be viable is Geraldine Ferraro. Ha

The fundies will splinter if he picks a pro-choice Veep.

ANother old fart is not likely.

Romney would be ok but they know he is a flipflopper.

Lieberman, Rudy and Ridge are pro-choice,

Huckabee will make the fundies happy but the fiscal hawks cringe.

Portman and Pawlenty buy Him nothing,

Florida is more in play than they thought, While Crist is a lightweight.....Mccain can not win without Florida and he may be the only one available to protect the state.

1. Isn't Crist a closet gay just asking to be outed
I mean, I'm not saying the charges are true, but they are out there.

You know, "some people say"...

Other than that, it's going to be a boring event.

Surely one of them would like to be his VP.

Even rethugs see him as a thus-far failure.

23. Crist is too much of an intellectual light weight
With the selection of Biden, he's probably off the list now. A debate between Biden and Crist would expose Crist as a true light weight. Biden would mop up the floor with him in an embarrassing manner. In short, Charlie Crist has the intelligence of a house plant. However, I hope that McCain does pick him. He'd bring more negatives than positives to McCain's campaign. Plus it'd get Crist out of my state for while.
