I understand that the McCain campaign is trying to use all the money they had leftover from the primaries before the start of convention. Since he is going to receive federal funds once he is the official nominee, would he be able to produce and air as many ads?

1. Nope, they are limited in how much they can spend after he is officially nominated
$85 million. That's it. I think Obama will have more than that in the bank on September 1, and may raise as much as that in August alone.

3. But the RNC is banking it all on McSame
I believe they can still air ads. They have pulled the rug out from under their senate and house candidates and bet it all on the pow.

4. YEah, and before that, they banked it all on the Milk Nazi
We ended up with Bill Foster (D) taking Hastert's old seat. Petting the farm on one number to win is a losing strategy. Plus, Obama will STILL outspend McCain, even with the RNC bankrolling him.
