Let's Save Divisions and Call the Sub-Group puma By the Larger Heading That They Are:
Republicans.

Or Republicons, pubbies, pukes, pugs or however you like to say it.

They have nothing to do with the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party is NOT divided. They are not a division, sect or sub-group of the Democratic Party, and should be referred to as what the truly are:

re-pukes.

I will no longer validate them as their intentions are obvious, anyone working against the Democratic Nominee, is not a Democrat. Period.

1. I totally agree that Karl Rove will do everything he can to
get former Hillary supporters to vote for McCain.

Rove and Repubs are all about dividing the regular people so that the corporations will gain even more wealth and even more control over our daily lives.

However, I hope DUers will take their lead from Obama and invite all Repubs to vote for Obama.

Obama's whole theme is about inclusion, not exclusion. Obama's goal is to get rid of the red state/blue state mentality.

18. I think that the OP is making a separate point.
I agree with you that we reach out to everyone to vote for Obama.

But I think the OP is saying that the so-called "Hillary supporters" were and are neither supporters of Hillary nor of the Democratic Party. Many of them appear to be long-time Republicans who pretended to support Hillary in an effort to cause trouble between Democrats. Many of the so-called Hillary supporters on blogs like this appear to be paid Republican operatives.

I know that there were millions of genuine Hillary supporters who were disappointed that she didn't win the nomination. However, I think that all of them are now supporting Obama, unless they're simply too racist to support the black man.

This is my opinion as a white woman from what I've observed here and out in the "real" world.

4. I agree completely.

They are Republicans and this is an effort by them (ROVE) to give independent and uncommitted voters the impression that Democrats are deeply divided, that Clinton supporters won't support Obama and ultimately, we won't be able to unite to win.

Divide and conquer.

We need to call them out.

5. I think the Convention will show the excitement and how united
the Party is. And, from there, Obama/Biden can move forward and reach out to the Indys and fed-up pukes. They should work from a unified base, which it is, and never look back.

8. Clinton will have a whip team on the floor -
Edited on Sun Aug-24-08 09:12 AM by sparosnare
I think a group of about 40 people, who will move to 'cover' any protests on the floor. That will be interesting.

6. They're basically freeper moles.
I mean come on! Most of the polls are being given based on an honor system that the people responding are telling the truth-- who's to know that the "Hillary Democrats" being polled aren't really Republicans in disguise?

7. Yep, and if Obama didn't have the support of the Democratic base,
including those who supported Hillary in the Primary, he wouldn't be polling at nearly 50%.

after the Convention anyway. But yeah, the McCain strategy does seem to be to stir up more division in the DNC.
