Hey, does this picture make my signature look big?
Edited on Sun Aug-24-08 09:13 AM by SaveAmerica
I love this picture, I haven't seen any footage of the VP speechifying yesterday but I guess this is from it. Won't it be nice to have people who care about other people in the White House again?

(Would choosing e-mail and IM image on Photobucket give me a smaller picture to put here?)

1. Imageshack lets you resize the image.

I took the liberty to try it myself. Is this better?

4. Thanks, Bright Eyes and Cirque, I'll work with it...
I was just happy I was able to get it in my signature without asking for my kid's help! I just love that picture though, it makes me happy!

14. I have ImageShack....and a few too many other toys.
But, you have to try PhotoBucket. Online it's the best of the best. Of course one can always use the photo applications one might have on their PC and upload those images as well.

2. It's a bit large for my taste
Edited on Sun Aug-24-08 08:59 AM by Cirque du So-What
but that's just me.

Photobucket gives the option to edit photos, in which the original is permanently reduced in size by 50%. I believe the photo would still look alright even after resizing, but you may want to save a copy of the original for 'experimental' purposes.

Instead of talking out of my posterior, I went to Photobucket and checked out the 'edit' options, which I haven't done in quite awhile. There are many options available - including a control panel for making serious adjustments to images. Also, it's possible to make changes and then save them as a separate image instead of committing to irreversible changes to an original photo.

BTW, DU doesn't require IMG tags around links to images. You can choose the 'Direct Link' option from those Photobucket makes available to you.

3. You will have to reduce the size per DU rules -
people with big images in their signature lines mean that each thread is a "bigger" file and it takes longer for people with slow connections to open threads -- it slows down the site.

The DU rule about this is posted in the "profile" section where you were when you put this particular image in your signature line: "You may have no more than one image (.jpg or .gif format) in your signature line at any time. This image may not exceed 500 pixels wide, 200 pixels tall, or a file size of 20 kilobytes."

I once had a large image in my signature line and a moderator contacted me and told me to reduce/remove it.

It is very nice picture - I hope you'll reduce the size and keep it in your sig line.

:hi:

8. Do you mind that I just copied that and added to my photobucket?
I have campaigns to help and already spent more time than I should on a signature!

11. That one is great - I also like the one where they hug each other's spouses
The morons who claim they don't have a good personal relationship obviously haven't seen them together.

This is the best I can do from here...at the moment. I have many neat frames...maybe tomorrow. Olympics have kept me up until wee hours of the a.m. Getting groggy.
