Biden is only 6 years or so younger, and looks much healthier and more active. McCain looks like he's - sorry if this is rude - on death's door. He doesn't look well at all. And the more he tries to look happy, the worse it is.

I think if McCain looked as well as Biden does, his age would be less of an issue. I'm not sure it's really age, per se, that's the concern with McCain - it's that he doesn't look healthy enough to survive a term as president.
