Here's some Ugly coming to us on the "I have a dream" anniversary
Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 26, 2004 -- Senatorial Candidate Alan Keyes, CURE founder Star Parker and over 40 African American pastors will hold a press conference on the Constitutional Amendment on Marriage at the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, August 28th which is the 41st Anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr. “I Have a Dream” Speech. The press conference will begin at 9am.

The GOP just allowed Keyes to say he "refused" their offer to speak at the convention. Do you think this presser will gain him nat'l attention anyway?

Would sincere pastors really believe they are so threatened by this one issue, that poverty, war, and racial bigotry will fall, for them, by the wayside to feed this other bigotry?

1. It's been a while since I read the speech
but I don't remember "marriage" mentioned in it.

King is rolling in his grave.

2. Hmmm... I'd ask them if these words have a familiar ring:

"Those people" don't deserve the same rights as "the rest of us" because "we" hold a special place in "God's plan" and "they" don't.

Congratulations to Keyes and his black pastors who oppose gay rights. They've learned the language of the Master Class quite well indeed.

3. "I have a dream, that one day little black boys
and little white boys will be able to join hands..." isn't that how it went?

4. Paging Coretta and Martin III
Feel free to hold a press conference denouncing this whenever you get good and ready.

(They probably will, too)
