John McCain is Bob Dole with less message discipline.
Whenever the GOP knows they are going to lose, they throw some old war hero up there.



All McCain has to do now is pick some irrelevant, boring congressman to be VEEP.

2. Oh my GOD, he is.
And he's even LESS likeable than Dole was.

That realization just made me extremely happy. Thank you. I remember friends who voted for Dole while holding their nose and he wasn't considered a philanderer or a huge jerk like McCain.
