Now that it's Biden, two things are clear: First, McCain will have to pick
Mitt Romney.

Or Mike Huckabee. Or Tom Ridge, or Sarah Palin, or Fred Thompson, or Tim Pawlenty, or Bobby Jindal, or Rob Portman.

Second: it won't matter.

With a running mate like this, an incredible ground-game the likes of which have seldom (if ever) been seen, and an electorate hungry for what America used to be, Obama will be the next president.

Keep believing, keep working.

Yes, we can.

Why don't you start by watching the videos in this thread so you have a better idea of what you're talking about?

I don't care how many links you post in his defense, I won't waste my time with them. I don't like Biden-period.

28. Remain willfully ignorant, then. I'm not posting in his defense, I'm showing that your post is false
Whether or not you like him has nothing to do with the FACT that Biden has been all over the place on behalf of Obama WELL before today.

9. Nobody on the GOP short list
(or any other list I've heard of) has the experience and stature of Joe Biden.

As for Mitt Romney, I think I'd like that match-up best of all. Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and blue-collar fighter, versus yet another mega-millionaire previously scorned by his own running mate.

31. And there's Romney's own 'abundance of houses'
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/22/vp-romney-would-compound_n_120651.html

Romney, like McCain, owns an abundance of houses. According to news reports, the former governor of Massachusetts has at least four properties in his portfolio. There is his primary residence in Massachusetts, a ski lodge in Utah, a lake front house in New Hampshire (described by USA Today as "an 11-acre estate valued at more than $10 million on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee") and a La Jolla beachfront home in California. The latter, according to Politico, is worth $12 million, has five bathrooms, and contains "direct access to sand beach, a quiet cul-de-sac location, spacious oceanfront deck, numerous patio areas with manicured lawns and mature landscaping, lap pool and spa."

32. Five bathrooms?
And they're not even in his main house?

Wow.

Not that there's anything wrong with having enough bathrooms. God knows, we'll all waited in line longer than a sane person should have to endure, but really; five?

6. Who can forget McCain sniggering at Romney, to his face,
"You're the candidate of change, alright" while discussing Mitt's flip-flips?

Every weakness that Biden seems to represent can be turned right back on McCain. It's almost like Biden's record is a minefield for McCain to try to navigate, if he dares.

:hi: Obama has been very effective at returning punches, but now there will be a bigger, sharper set of teeth (root canals pay off, you know).

16. I forgot to mention Holy Joe!
Traitor Joe's caters! Caters to neo-cons, and caters to the fear-mongering that they depend on for power!

Biden vs. Lieberman is another match-up that would be very entertaining to watch unfold.

20. I think a lot of Hillary supporters like yourself
will feel the same way. I'm sure the vast majority care more about America than whatever resentment they might still have over Senator Clinton's lack of inclusion on the ticket. They know she remains a power in Democratic and American politics.

15. anyone but Romney
If McCain picks Romney, that will be a strategic mistake.

McCain can use a lot of ammo against Biden, but it will be useless if he picks Romney.

22. This sounds a little too self-assured. Do NOT forget which party
Obama is running against. He won't be the next president if the election is stolen—which I'd bet it will be—and the Democrats are too candy-ass to do anything about it.

23. I'm the last guy to forget about election theft.
Here's Karl Rove on election night 2004, set up in the White House dining room:

But I believe that with all the work that has transpired since that awful night, the playing field has been tilted back by a good amount, and that the hard work and vigilance of election activists on DU and across the country has made it much harder to pull off the magnitude of theft we saw in 2004.

Ridge would totally alienate the fundies since Ridge is very pro-choice. Palin is under investigation for corruption.
