Tell me what exactly ..
are these rightwing nuts and tv pundits are talking about when they say Obama needs to give them some substance about what he will do once he is president? I am so tired of hearing this garbage I have heard Obama at townhalls and other venues and he takes questions and gives details about how he would approach different situations.

No candidate can tell you exactly what they will do until they are faced with what is left after the other admin they all tell us what they would like to do. I have never heard this garbage as much as I have heard it since Obama was the candidate..

1. When someone tells me that crap, I tell them to go to the Obama site and read all the details that
he has there. If they cannot do that, I say I will print it out for them...

2. I keep waiting for them to ask the same thing about McCain!
Has anyone ever heard McCain give any details...let alone speak coherently...about anything he will do as president? He speaks in bumper stickers!

3. I'll take a stab at this.
Too many people have simply become accustomed to the short answers, with one-syllable words. That way, they don't have to do any actual thinking.

Obama gives information, not just soundbites.

And get ready; they're going to say the same thing about Biden. I've already heard the talking-point about how Biden talks too long and doesn't know when to stop.

Gee, sorry that some of us THINK!

"Obama's problem is" or "Obama is in trouble" or "this is going to hurt Obama" and then the scaredy cat Dems start panicking..

10. Because they are trying to paint him as frivolous and without
substance...just an empty suit....I actually hear people repeat this...and I ask them what specifics they hear from McCain? Of course they can't name any except Drill Now...I laugh at them...

11. Politics 101: If it wasn't heard it wasn't said
If folks are not hearing it you have to say it different.

Not fair, just the way of the world.

12. They're still touting, "The American people don't know Barack Obama."
I surmised they're stupid and moved on.

When he gives details they say he needs one-liners that the average person could understand.

Perhaps he needs specific, one-liners like, "We need to drill, right here right now!"
