Obama picked well.

Biden makes me super energized.

I'm 32, and Obama/Biden is even more exciting to me than Clinton/Gore.

Any former Hillary supporters who can't get behind Obama/Biden have issues in my opinion. And I love Hillary.

5. Exactly. Who can argue with Biden? He never dissed Hillary.
He has experience. He is a better debater than anyone Mcsame will choose.

He is a family man.

He's just a great choice as VP.

He has has made mistakes... but he WILL be an awesome VP.

7. I'm just excited about Biden... I think Obama showed wise judgement in his choice.
And you are welcome!

You don't have to thank me though... I always vote Dem. And it was never hard for me to support Obama anyway. He's a good one.

8. Biden's the best of the non-Clinton choices. I'd have preferred a unity ticket and believe it
would have given us our best chance of winning. And polls show a majority of Democrats wanted Clinton on the ticket as Obama's running mate.

But Obama decided against it, so this is the ticket we've got, and I'll support it, and hope this hasn't hurt our chances of winning too much.

11. Clinton was my first choice, Biden my 2nd. I think they are both great.
I think it remains to be seen who was better.

We can second guess come November.

I think Biden and Clinton both have a fire in them. That's why I like Biden too.

16. Seriously
Are you going to post this all day every day? Clinton was the best choice in YOUR opinion.

You say you hope it doesn't cost us the election. Trust me, it won't be his picking Biden that cost us the election if we lose. It will be the Clinton supporters who can't get over her losing and continue to feed the "he didn't want us united" crap to the media to report on.

12. maybe it's a 'woman thing'?
I voted for Clinton in the primary too. But I was very close on the fence between Clinton and Obama, and I'm glad that Obama won.

But, as a woman, I confess that the idea of *finally* having a woman President, or even Vice President has *profound* appeal.

It's hard to imagine how the subtlety of the 'second class citizen' thing can effect a person unless you experience it first hand, all your life.

Does that make sense?

I'm sure Biden will be fine, even if some of his voting record isn't completely to my liking. (Clinton or Obama's wasn't either for that matter). But I confess a certain disappointment. The VP didn't have to be Clinton, it could have been Kathleen Sibelius or any other highly qualified woman. But I think Obama is a smart politician and Biden is probably the best choice for him.

22. You make total sense, kineta.
You said:

I'm not a woman, so I can't relate, but I hope I can empathize.

I am gay, and I trust women more than men for the most part (certainly not always).

I want a woman as President or VP in my lifetime as well.

It's not gonna happen in '08... and I am happy with Biden.

Your post makes total sense though.

years in the Senate, he has never before seen America so "broken."

Well put. Now let's fix it
