Stood in the beating sun for 2 hours for a good spot ...but the pay off was worth it.

12. Felt like 80 or so.

Really wasn't much wind. Every time a cloud came by and blocked the sun the crowd would cheer. I was just so happy to be there I didn't care. We woke up at 5:30 and drove 4 hours. Well worth it, I will be high off of that for a week or so.

How did you get such great shots, was Ms. Blarch on your shoulders? My pix from Berlin sucked because #1 I had the sun directly in my camera and #2 I could never really get up high enough to get over the heads of people in front of me.

33. I think I see my Husband's Camera in one of your pictures, LOL

There's a nikon on the left side of one of your lower pics - I think that is my husband. We were on the fence line just Right and forward of where you are standing I think. We lined up perfectly with the corner blocks of the Old State Capitol building. I was probably a foot from being able to reach Obama's hand when he came down that walkway - but the stage split off too much from the fence line at that point. Biden stopped right in front of us though.

I must admit, you got an excellent spot for only waiting in line a couple hours. We got there around 7:30ish, and didn't get inside until 11AM I think - then 3 hours from there of course. I brought a big roll of Obama stickers along, and while handing them out - met some great people from all over. We haven't uploaded our photos yet, but we'll share them as soon as we do.
