Don't get me wrrong I am a huge Springsteen fan....but The Rsing is a vey odd choice for a campaign
event. The chorus works sort of but cmon....Not ecactly a happy topic.

to drive the point of why this election is important and why Obama decided to run now.

2. Not really ...Bruce has "Catholic Angst" and in first part of "Rising" there's a "cross" on the
lapel of the Firefighter with "60 pound stone on his back" and "a half mile of line." BIDEN/OBAMA...they are working against all odds to save people.

The choice of song was incredibly accurate. Like a "dart to our souls." :shrug:

13. As I recall The Rising was actually written before 9/11
It was either that one or "My City of Ruins". Just so happened that the material he was working on happened to go well with the theme of the album.
