This is simple. PUMA uses Hillary as an excuse. It is not a pro-Hillary organization.
No one there supports the causes that Hillary works for.

No one there supports the candidate Hillary supports.

They are an anti-Democratic organization dedicated to defeating our nominee for the benefit of john mccain and republican policies. Every member supports those causes and only those causes.

Hillary Clinton does not support any of that but the hateful PUMAs use her as a convenient and cynical excuse to bash Democrats.

Those who insult Hillary by linking her to them are wrong and those who defend PUMAs as Democrats are lying.

What else is there to say?

1. You got it. Nothing more to say, except they are Obama-Haters,
and it quit being about Hillary(if it ever was) long ago.

3. Exactly. PUMA is Operation-Chaos-style disruption.
The people who started PUMA never were interested in getting Hillary elected. Not now, not during primary season.

The people running PUMA are Republican operatives trying to drive a wedge in the Democratic Party.

If you're a PUMA, either you're a freeper, or you're an idiot.

19. Wasn't PUMA PAC formed by a McCain supporting Republican?
Oh yeah, Darragh C. Murphy donated $500 to John McCain on February 28, 2000:

5. Agree. If they cared about what Hillary stands for and believes in,
they wouldn't vote for McCain. It's not pro-Hillary as much as it's anti-Obama.

And, they're the ones giving Hillary a bad rep -- one which I think is truly undeserved.

7. PUMA is insignificant in number and in impact.
Too few and far between to make any difference in November they are an empty (pant) suit.

8. They make a difference because they get coverage.
The republican party uses them as a front to get on the air and insult Democrats in the guise of being Democrats. The sad fact that this ploy works can be seen in the posts of those who defend them here.

I'm just trying to call them out for what they are.

24. Do we know exactly how many or how few there are? I'm hoping
that if there were many to begin with, that their numbers are steadily dwindling. Surely reality has to set in at some point.

25. Its not their numbers that matter, its how many hear their lies.
So long as they're on the air spreading disunity and on forums like DU demoralizing Democrats, they need to be called out. Ignoring them will only play into their hands.

27. Have you noticed all the posts that tell us they don't...
matter? That tell us to look away and ignore them?

And I've flip flopped all over the place on this issue, not wanting to give them attention but being afraid to think they can't create havoc.

28. You've got a good point there. Why are some so adamant we not talk about PUMAs?
I understand trying to shut up the Hillary Haters (and there are some still around), but trying to stifle every discussion of PUMAs is an attempt to let them run amok all over the forum.

That needs to be mentioned more. Thanks.

13. This may be a dumb question but why are there so many over
on "those" sites who were here for so many years? I mean, I suppose that if they were really republicans in disguise, wouldn't they have been kicked out of here long before they were?

16. Not all repubs like bush* and this is a great place to express that hatred.
Other than that I don't claim to know what goes on inside their heads. I'm only stating that if you tear down the Democratic nominee, using Hillary Clinton as an excuse to do so, you are working for the repubs and their policies.

Here's an example of one of these long standing DUers.

23. That's why it's confusing to me. That person had been here so
long, along with many others like that.

How can a democrat post such garbage? Were they dems at all or just followers of a certain democrat? Or are they so prejudiced that they threw all their ideals away because of the color of a man's skin?

I just don't understand it.

But you're right. If they're working against the nominee, they're not democrats any longer. If they're working against Obama/Biden they're working against the people in our society who need the most from government.

Some people call them stupid. I'd say they're more like evil, because they know better.

17. The difference is the LaRouchites aren't a repub front. PUMA is.
Their founder is a bought and paid for repub who's sole purpose is to defeat Democrats.

LaRouche is crazy but he's not trying to influence the election.

26. LaRouchites really are a cult.
Lyndon LaRouche founded a compound in Germany and gathers young idiots to him to milk them for cash. Running for president just give them a purpose.
