Springsteen to play at the Democratic convention?????
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/8/22/145247/662/740/572850

I just got this news today. I live in Denver. I have been trying to get tickets to the Obama acceptance speech at Invesco, and so far have had no luck, even though I have contributed a good amount of money to the campaign, so, of course, I am disappointed. What makes it even worse is that I found out something today that as far as I know has not made it to any news outlet in the nation. So, you folks here at Daily Kos are the first in the nation to read about it as I break this news to you:

Stageplay's diary :: ::
I received an email today from someone very, very close to me who works in an important position for a company that is working directly with Invesco Field at Mile High. They had a meeting at the convention center with a couple of (company name) political consultants, one of whom is the daughter of a very well known concert promoter here in Denver. She told my brother that her father has signed Bruce Springsteen to play at the Obama acceptance speech!

Like I said, I don't think this has made the news yet, and I hope I don't get my brother into any kind of trouble by breaking this news on Daily Kos, but there you have it. Daily Kos has been great for the progressive movement, and you have been strong supporters of Barack, just as I am, so I felt it was only right that I break the news on Daily Kos!

1. That's great!
I'm not surprised though. When he puts himself behind something, he does it emphatically.

I love Bruce.

10. Of course, Cokie says Hawaii is too "exotic" to be really American
even if Barack really can prove he was born there.

:sarcasm:

6. Yeah, they told me that yesterday when I picked up my tickets.
They told me not to spread it around because it's not definite yet. So I came right here to spread it around. :)
