That was the most politically-driven prayer I have ever heard.
I just got back from the Springfield event (I live there) and I'm not sure if it was broadcasted, but before anybody spoke, there was a prayer given by somebody. It was the most bizarre thing, praying for healthcare and other political goals.

Look, I want all those things as much as anybody, but that prayer was embarrassing. People around me were like "wtf is this"?

Other than that, the event rocked. GOBAMA!

1. If repukes can pray to do away with minimum wage, women's rights...
and for more wars, I don't see why Dems of the religious persuasion can't vote for the things they want for the nation.

5. Healthcare shouldn't be a political goal,
but a moral imperative. I think it's an appropriate thing to pray for, since that's our best shot at single payer.

6. I don't care for prayers at public gatherings liek that, but I can understand
making a wish list like that. Hard not to after the mess we've lived with for the last 7 years.
