but to come at em with everything they got.
And all they got is spitballs and phantom swiftboats.

We are going to crush them, very deservedly.

Doesn't it sort of feel like a relief? We've got the guy in place now who can convincingly go on the attack and make all the points that need to be made - and do with a sense of humor, too?

I'm loving it.

His speech today was perfect! I literally laughed out loud on the 7 kitchen tables joke.

One minor note: Notice how he managed to say his wife was beautiful without pimping her in a stripper pageant? Guys, this is the way we like to be flattered. ;)

38. Exactly. And he knows how much that friend has changed since the old maverick days.
I'm hoping Biden can shake some people up who are still clinging to the outdated maverick image of JSM III.

He can tell them, as someone who watched JSM III change, just how serious the deviations have been.

He can assure some of those clinging to the old image that certainly, the Republicans can find footage of Democrats praising McCain because he USED TO be different.

But over the past eight years, JSM III has voted with Bush and praised his policies. That is a whole new McCain.

Biden can share how disappointed he has been to see the former torture victim letting the administration lead this country into that horrible territory.

He can share his shock at how McCain could possibly have expressed optimism at the depressed economy the Bush war profiteering has engendered.

Biden has seen from the inside the demise of the dear old maverick. That John McCain is gone. Now we have the unadulterated aristocratic son & grandson of Admirals who has a net worth of $40 million, 7 to 10 homes, and a second wife with $100 million more.

41. Right., Biden is there to say, "This is how a statesman should be: Still alive and kicking!"
He's almost more effective at aging gramps than Barack is.

The GOp just wish these guys were theirs.
