McCain to work with Bush to get rid of these "shadowy" ads....
Just reported on FOX TV in a short snip. It appears that both of them are going to denounce "all" 527's as equal. McCain seems to think they somehow corrupt his campaign finance reform. Bush seems to think they somehow corrupt his monetary advantage from corporations and rich Republican special interests.

WTF happened to "you're stopping their freedom of speech" line that the Repugs were putting out yesterday re the SBVT?

5. What's "Shadowy" about MoveOn???
I know this is the prime target of the Rove machine. They're scare shitless of the upcoming concert tours and ongoing voter registration drives as well as the TV blitz that's starting this week. They're pissed cause MoveOn's commercials are both entertaining, damning and have easy catch phrases that stick in people's minds. They're getting out "Orwelled". LOL!

Other than the money, what lies has MoveOn spread? Rumors? Smears? If there are lurking Freepers...go ahead, just put one out here, we'd like to know what poops in your cornflakes.

Bunnypants and his henchmen talk about all the lies and attacks on Bunnypants by these groups. OK, what are they? What lies are being spread by MoveOn that can be refuted by simple fact? What issues are being misrepresented by simple fact?

Bet I won't get a single response on this one.

6. Truly hypocritical! GOP Progress for America has raised $35M--most of it
in the last month, and set up to compete with the Media Fund. This is total PR bullshit. The FEC has put limitations on 527's, but they will not take effect until 2005.

Nothing will be done in this cycle, and they know it! The Democrats have outraised them with the 527's so far, but the GOP has shifted into high gear.

The feckless media fails to point out that the "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" ads are false, unlike the Moveonpac ads against Bush, which are harsh, but true! The media gives equal weight to both sides, rather than doing their jobs and checking the "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" claims. They are, in a word, complicit, in making this story as big as it has become.

Bush Calls McCain About Anti-Kerry Ads

By DEB RIECHMANN, Associated Press Writer

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - President Bush (news - web sites) wants to work with Republican Sen. John McCain (news, bio, voting record) to pursue court action against political ads by "shadowy" outside groups, the White House said Thursday amid growing pressure on the president to denounce attacks on John Kerry (news - web sites)'s war record.

"The president said if the court action doesn't work, that he would be willing to pursue legislative action with Sen. McCain on that," Bush spokesman Scott McClellan told reporters aboard Air Force One en route to New Mexico.

McCain, R-Ariz., has called on Bush to condemn the anti-Kerry ads, even as he is actively supporting Bush's re-election. McCain told The New York Times that he plans to personally "express my displeasure" to the president, the paper reported Thursday.

Bush called McCain from Air Force One and the two had a brief discussion about the matter, McClellan said. MORE............

9. Im no expert
Would this hurt Dems the worse? How would say an environmental group get out the word about *’s horrific environmental policies? With the 527s being banned, WHO (if anyone) could promote perspective outside of the respective campaigns?

This 527 thing is something I don’t understand fully…Just haven’t had time to investigate.
