PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE Pick Romney!
Edited on Sat Aug-23-08 12:53 PM by berni_mccoy
All the Pundits are saying Romney for McCain because of his economics. The only economics Romney has been good at have been his own. Just ask ANY ONE who lives in Massachusetts what they think of Romney's Economics.

Romney would be an absolutely disaster for the GOP Ticket. As I heard one NPR caller say, he's like bell-bottoms on your Dad... it's just not cool.

Furthermore, Romney was one of the most politically divisive governors of all time and did absolutely nothing to "reach" across partisan lines to solve difficult problems. He will only hurt McCain's maverick status.

1. Plus, they'll be the richest Presidential ticket in history. Advocating more tax cuts for themselves
That should go over great.

2. Now that we have Joe, I really don't care who McNuts picks!
Joe will flatten any of them and then wipe his feet on the remains!

4. I agree with everything you said and
the truth is: The Republicans have no one. It's laughable. Their Presidential primary was filled with the weakest candidates ever. Then they get to who might be V.P. and the bottom of the barrel is exposed, imo.

Meg Whitman? Carly Fiorina? Bobby Jindal? Tim Pawlenty? Mitt Romney? Not one of them is qualified to be on the ticket.

8. I think that they might as well give it up and choose...
..McExorcist as their VP. At least plenty of entertainment could be derived from him along the way - In fact, it could help them in 2012 because whatever fucking ticket they put out would look incredible in comparison.

6. Two out-of-touch white male multi-millionaires continuing the failed ecomonic policies of the worst
president in history. This ticket has all the makings of a wet dream for the democrats!

17. Plus one of them is Mormon and none of his sons are in Iraq. Hopefully that
will tick off the God and Guns groups.

19. The "Guns" group will have a lot more problem with the fact
Edited on Sat Aug-23-08 02:03 PM by benEzra
that Romney promised during the primaries to outlaw the most popular civilian rifles in America. Given the fact that McCain was a gun-control-lobby spokesperson at one point, he's already vulnerable on that issue, and Romney would add to his troubles.

The religious right seems to like Romney, though. They like smooth-talking authoritarians...

9. I heard one talking head describing Romney as a better choice
than someone else, because the other person was dull. All I can say is, the other guy must have been REALLY boring.

by suggesting that Condi might be McCain's pick.
Could it be: a team as bad or worse than Bush/Cheney?

12. Mittens May Screw Up Obama in Michigan
Certainly not by me but some live in the past and remember his dad was governor here. Some people vote strictly with their heart and not their head. I hope that people see through this if he is McHouses pick.
