Considering The EXPANDED POWERS Of The Office Of VP Nowadays
Biden is damn solid pick.

I don't think someone like Cheney will be too happy w/ someone like Biden wielding the power Cheney Brought to the VP spot.

8. From Wikipedia (MBNA is now Bank of America):
MBNA was one of the prime movers in lobbying for the passage of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, which took 11 years and millions of dollars spent on lobbying before the act was finally passed when 15 Democrats (all of whom had received campaign contributions from MBNA, notably Joseph R. Biden, Jr. (D-DE) $147,700) joined with their Republican colleagues to sign it into law.

MBNA was one of the companies mentioned on a 2004 Frontline PBS special about unfair business practices by credit card companies<12>. Some industry practices which MBNA possibly engaged in previously included doubling or tripling of interest rates, shifting billing due dates/payment cycles monthly, and raising rates for customers whose payments were a day or two late which earned it the sobriquet, Misrepresentation Bank of North America. For further information and links, see Credit Cards.

15. there is a time for dissent, and a time for a coherent front.

bitching about 'what is' will not change it.

by all means, dissent with their actions all you want (especially after election)- but condemning the ticket does not help anyone but repugs.

14. Our party must unite and excite. Do you really want president McCain?
If every vote of either of these candidates was scrutinized with a "fine tooth comb", our party would not have a nominee, because not one single person could please everyone. IMHO this is why the repugs have been very, very good at getting "their" people elected, they get behind thier candidate and support them without question. But, the Dem party seems to be a party of "rabble rousers", thinkers and questioners. If we don`t come together with our nominee we will lose this election. Plain and simple, we will lose and bitch and complain for at least 4 more years. Personally I will do everything in my very limited power to get Obama/Biden in the white house, because the alternative is just unthinkable to me.

Waterboarding is torture.

We can, however, put him in stress positions for days. That's just fine.
